Ingredients:
3 egg whites
 1/8 teaspoon salt
 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
 6 tablespoons sugar
How to make Meringue Topping
- Beat egg whites together with salt and cream of tartar to soft peak stage.
 - Add sugar gradually: beat to stiff peak stage.
 - Spread over cooled pie filling and seal edge of crusts.
 - Bake at 350 °F for from 12 to 20 minutes, until lightly brown.
 - Yield: meringue for one inch pie.
