Banana Bread (Version 1)

Ingredients:

1/2    cup shortening
1-1/4  cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
3/4    teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1/2     teaspoon salt
3/4 cup mashed ripe
banana (lakatan)

How to make Banana Bread

  • Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Stir in banana.
  • Sift together dry ingredients; add to banana mixture; mix well.
  • Pour into greased 22- by 22- by 5 cm. pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for from 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Yield: 6 servings.
