Here is a simple and delicious oatmeal cookie recipe called Cape Cod oatmeal cookies. Not sure why it is called Cape Cod I’ll just assume it originated in the U.S. in Massachusetts because it is where you will find Cape Cod.

Ingredients
  • 1½ cups (210 grams) all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup (200 grams) sugar
  • ½ cup shortening, melted
  • ½ cup (115 grams) butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1¾ cups uncooked oatmeal
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
Instructions
How to make Oatmeal Cookies Cookies:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful on unbuttered cookie sheets and bake until edges are browned, about 12 minutes.
