Ingredients
  

  • 1 small head lettuce
  • 1 pomelo suha, peeled into segments and broken into small bite size pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts walnuts, pecans, cashew, peanuts, or combination

Sauce 1:

  • 1/2 cup sweet Thai chili sauce for chicken
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. rock salt
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil

Sauce 2:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch or cassava flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup red vinegar
  • 1 tsp. finely chopped chili pepper siling labuyo or long chili
  • 1 tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp. rock salt

How to make Pomelo - Lettuce Salad

  • Wash lettuce and pat dry with a clean towel. Tear into bite size pieces. Combine lettuce, pomelo and nuts in a salad bowl. Serve with sauce 1 and sauce 2.

Sauce 1:

  • in a small bowl, mix all ingredients together until well blended

Sauce 2:

  • In a small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in water and vinegar and bring to a slow boil. when mixture thickens slightly, add chili, oil and salt. remove from fire and let cool.
