  • 1 large cabbage shredded
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup salad oil
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of MSG

Instructions
 

How to make coleslaw with oil and vinegar dressing:

  • Arrange cabbage and onions in a serving bowl.
  • Combine sugar, vinegar, salad oil, mustard, celery seed, salt, and MSG until well-blended.
  • Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes. Pour cooked mixture over cabbage and onions.
  • Allow to set for 3 hours. Stir coleslaw and refrigerate. Serve cold.
